While a majority of the decisions will be in collaboration with the Director and faculty/staff of CIMA, there are situations where this individual will need to rely on independent discretion. The ability of the faculty member to make these quick decisions ensured the immediate safety of the students and their eventual return home without incident.

Including, but not limited to, literature reviews, publications, working with technology to film, edit, and identify practical applications to accompany curriculum, and providing instruction and feedback to participants.
- Leads efforts at CIMA to design, conduct, and disseminate research in Adult Education, International Studies, and other areas applicable to the position in order to achieve the goals set forth by Kansas State University (e.g. to be in the top 50 institutions of research by 2025).
