Weldon F. Zenger (Professor Emeritus, Fort Hays State University and Kansas State University); Sharon K. Zenger (Professor Emeritus, Tabor College)Overview:
This study attempted to identify teaching styles perceived to best facilitate learning among current, more technology orientated students in higher education institutions of varying sizes and missions across a broad cross-section of the United States. Institutions surveyed offer degrees ranging from bachelors-only through doctoral-granting, including some specialized and faith-related institutions such as theological seminaries and Bible colleges.
Results of the survey are presented for each respondent, making possible the determination for individuals from one institution what is occurring in institutions of other sizes and missions. No attempt was made to interpret these results because of the widely ranging multitude of technologies being used. Results are presented in a condensed form intended to be helpful to those responsible for facilitating teaching in their institutions.
