How does it work: The Power-Added Professional Development© program prepares master trainers through intensive and capacity-building institutes that maximize a trainer-of-trainers model. Representatives of educational units who participate in the Power-Added Professional Development© Program attend three-day institutes that build their capacities to tailor and differentiate professional development sessions for practitioners in the various contexts of their target units. This capacity building, as a master trainer, emphasizes theory and research-driven strategies. Master trainers are provided with materials that include content DVDs, a Teacher Toolkit, handouts, and resources designed specifically to offer turnkey professional development for educators who are serving the differentiated needs of CLD students and families.
