Note to Self iPad Camp
Note to Self iPad Camp, led by Mary Frazier, will be a refreshing day of ideas and activities to help teachers be more productive in their classroom and organized in lesson planning. No more sticky notes stuck here and there. We'll look at teaching and learning with iPads and be reminded of best instructional practices to engage and enhance student learning. We'll finish with reflection ideas on the iPads that will help with planning for the next lesson.
Note to Self: Wake up every morning with the thought that something WONDERFUL is about to happen (Motivation)
Note to Self: Get Your Act Together (Planning)
Note to Self: What is my role? Will you be the Sage on the Stage, a Guide by the Side, or a Meddler in the Middle? (Teaching)
Note to Self: Worksheets don't grow dendrites (Learning)
Note to Self: Think on These Things (Reflecting)

About Mary Frazier
Mary Frazier started her teaching career in Goodland, KS. After teaching fifth and sixth graders for 28 years, she served as an Integration Technology Specialist with an emphasis on curriculum for ten years in Buhler USD 313. While in this position she co-facilitated the District Leadership Team for three years and was instrumental in designing an instructional framework for the district. She was also responsible for the initial introduction of the common core curriculum in Buhler. Mary had a leading role in the creation of a Teaching and Learning Initiative with 1:1 devices in grades 5-12. Currently Mary is an adjunct instructor for Sterling College. She also co-leads the Tech Integration Group which meets monthly at ESSDACK.
Mary has many passions! One professional passion is promoting the use of technology to increase and enhance learning for all ages. Her volunteer work with Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community in Buhler includes planning, grant writing, and designing a MakerSpace for the residents. This work and her work with pre-service teachers at Sterling brings her great joy. Since Mary is a breast cancer survivor, a personal passion is in encouraging, supporting, and being a prayer warrior for our girlfriends who are battling this disease. She loves to quilt and has made lap quilts for family members who have had to undergo chemo. Of course, her greatest passion is the love she has for her husband and three children and their spouses. Her most recent joy has been the birth of her first grandchild.
