Richard G. Hause Creativity Lecture:

Education Symposium

Since 1988, students representing the College of Education have organized and held an exceptionally well-received symposium as a major professional development activity. This conference-style event allows students to sit in on lectures led by K-State staff and faculty, as well as other leaders in the field. Each year, the planning team chooses an overarching theme for the year and which presenters will discuss the different aspects of that theme. After lunch, we will showcase a documentary created by the College of Education.

The Hause Creativity / Program Series began as a tribute by former students to honor the late Dr. Richard Hause when he retired from Kansas State University in 1995. Dr. Hause was a professor of Curriculum and Instruction who developed and taught a graduate level creativity course. Since its inception, the Hause program has been held in conjunction with the annual K-State Education Symposium.
