TB Test

In order to student teach, you must have verification of a negative tuberculin test within the two years prior to the beginning of the student teaching semester. If your TB test will be more than 2 years old, you should have another TB skin test. Lafene Health Center on Sunset Avenue will offer this test on the following dates. Students need to pay for the test at the Cashier’s Office and then take their receipt with them for the testing. The cost is $10.00. Please take your student ID card with you.

Times: 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.

As an alternative, it may be easier to complete the TB test through your local physician or local county health department and bring the completed documentation to the Office of Field Experiences, Bluemont Hall.

If you have not been to Lafene Health Center previously, please go to the medical records office on a day prior to having the TB test and have a chart made up.

Make a copy of your test results for yourself and take the ORIGINAL to the Office of Field Experiences.
