A Walk in My Shoes: The First 9 Months

A video documentary produced by the K-State College of Education

Five first-year teachers document the challenges and triumphs of their first nine months in the classroom. Each participant was given a camcorder and asked to record their lives in and outside the classroom, allowing us to experience teaching from their point of view. In addition, a film crew traveled with them to their hometowns to find out what got them into education. Their stories remind us that the heart of good teaching is in building relationships and learning from your experiences.
