Coach Bill Snyder's back story in Teaching

In the middle of a hectic football season one year, Kansas State University Head Coach Bill Snyder took time out to welcome the Kansas State University College of Education’s Core Teaching Skills classes, taught by Assistant Professor Lori Goodson and Instructor Kaylee Myers, to the Vanier Football Complex and Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Coach Snyder, now a member of the College Hall of Fame with a stadium that bears his name, graciously offered his time to visit with the future teachers about the power of teaching. We’re featuring three brief videos that each tell a part of his story regarding his respect and appreciation for teachers—and his own beginnings as an educator, as well as inspiration for achieving success in life. Coach Snyder offers a timeless and powerful message regarding a teacher’s impact, setting expectations, and developing goals that all educators need to hear—for themselves and for their students.
