The COE Faculty Mentoring Program is designed to build and sustain faculty professional development and satisfaction while supporting new faculty as they become accomplished, productive, and successful in teaching, research, and service. The program helps ease the transition from graduate school to the professorship and to K-State, provides opportunities to develop social and professional relationships within the College and across campus, and offers individualized professional and career guidance, as well as social and emotional support throughout the tenure process. The program also provides senior faculty with opportunities to share their expertise and expand their contributions to the College as a whole.

COE Mentoring Program

All new, untenured, tenure-track faculty are invited to participate in the program and may remain involved until they earn tenure. Mentors and mentees are paired each academic year, with program activities including monthly luncheons, seminars on topics such as grant writing, special speakers and presentations, and other professional development and social activities.
