Physical Education (P.E.) and Health Program
Welcome to the Physical Education (P.E.) and Health program at Kansas State University! We are a program with a proud tradition of preparing teachers in the disciplines of P.E. and Health. We will prepare you, and support you, along the journey of becoming a licensed teacher. Below are just a few things that you should know about P.E. and Health Education:
- Our program takes the “hands-on” approach to education to a higher level. You will participate in real-life field experiences right away. You will have over 100 hours of experience in schools, and that’s prior to student teaching!
- The job outlook for our graduates is incredible. We’ve had a 100% employment rate with our graduates since our program began in 2016.
- We have fun! You will have various social opportunities throughout your time at K-State such as lunch meetings, sporting events, and cookouts at the professors' homes.
- Our students also have opportunities to travel with faculty and present at professional conferences throughout the year.
- You will be a part of a tight-knit, P.E. and Health community. You will be taught by professors that deeply care about your success as a student, a teacher, and a person.
Note: Student Teaching will be split between elementary and secondary classrooms (EDEL 585: 6 credits and EDSEC 586: 6 credits).
