Dear CCLP friend and colleague,
Those of us who have the good fortune to call John Roueche friend and mentor, know his belief in the power of relationships. “The Human Touch” matters.
The Community College Leadership Program (CCLP), the expansive CCLP alumni and friend network, and CCLP’s nationally-renowned thought leadership each embody the ongoing learning and leadership legacy John has fostered throughout his illustrious career.
Similar to colleagues who have navigated career trajectories, the CCLP was re-imagined as we transitioned to our new home at Kansas State University. Courses were updated to align with AACC leadership competencies. The program was also re-designed to meet the needs of today’s busy community college professional by moving from a place-bound to a blended delivery format, using Zoom technology.
With the transition, we are mindful of the importance of keeping the CCLP family connected and preparing the next generation of CCLP leaders to lead this country’s community and technical colleges.
In support of this endeavor, Kansas State University’s College of Education has established a philanthropic account to support the Community College Leadership Program and The John E. Roueche Leadership Legacy Fund.Funds will be used to support ongoing high-quality doctoral leadership development, convene CCLP leadership institutes, and perpetuate community college leadership research and scholarship about topics such as equity, diversity, inclusivity, student success, transformational leadership, economic and workforce development.
We call upon you to contribute to this legacy fund and kindle the gifts of CCLP connection, learning, leadership development, research, and scholarship. Your gift will support research and scholarships, as well as CCLP leadership learning institutes and graduate award support. Your gift will be tax deductible.
