Scholarship

 

Award.
  • $1,000 Renewable Scholarship ($500 in the Spring and $500 in the Summer).
Eligibility.
  • Kansas resident
  • Admitted for the MAT Unified Elementary and Special Education program for Spring 2026.
  • Enrolled for all MAT Unified Elementary and Special Education cohort courses for Spring 2026.
  • Eligible admitted and enrolled students are automatically awarded and will receive funding on a first-come, first-served basis.
Deadline.
  • Awards are made until funding is exhausted.
Renewal.
  • Continued enrollment for all MAT Unified Elementary and Special Education cohort courses for Summer 2026
  • Students in good standing with a 3.0 GPA
  • Eligible admitted and enrolled students are automatically renewed
Purpose.
  • To help Kansas schools address the critical shortage of special education teachers.
