CAEP Annual Reporting Measures

CAEP (Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation) has eight annual reporting measures which are used to provide information to the public on program impact and program outcomes.

Below are the eight reporting measures for our undergraduate and graduate initial licensure programs with links to data tables and information that provide supporting evidence for each measure.

1. Impact on P-12 Learning and Development

The College of Education is piloting and deploying a multi-level assessment system utilizing purposeful sampling to ensure completers from all programs will be represented. Our system also employs multiple research methodologies. When fully implemented, up to 75 completers (25/year) will provide rich data describing impact on P-12 student learning through case studies compiled over a three-year period. Additionally, the College of Education is engaged in an ambitious project developing documentary films exploring the working lives of early career teachers. A first, full-length documentary was completed last year, and additional cases are currently in production. We believe this work provides an arts-based research component capable of offering a unique and valuable perspective, both in terms of capturing the impact our completers are having in their classrooms as well as assisting our efforts to improve our programs.

2. Indicators of Teaching Effectiveness

The case study assessment system described above has been designed to also gather data concerning completer teaching effectiveness.
