Academic Advising Graduate Programs

We offer three graduate programs in academic advising: a Certificate in Academic Advising, a Master’s degree in Academic Advising, and a Ph.D. in Leadership in Academic Advising. Both programs are offered online and were developed in collaboration with NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising (NACADA).

Academic Advising Graduate Certificate

100% Online: The graduate certificate program is designed to prepare students for positions as academic advisors in college and university settings and to provide additional skills and knowledge for advisors already in the field of academic advising.

Academic Advising Master's Degree

100% Online: The 30-hour degree prepares practicing advisors, administrators, faculty and future advising professionals to effectively support postsecondary students in academic and career planning.

Leadership in Academic Advising Doctorate

This cohort-based Ph.D. program prepares professionals for leadership roles in research and teaching focused on academic advising in higher education, emphasizing respect for differences and the contributions of theory, practice and research.

The Academic Advising programs offer a resource guide through Canvas. If you are not automatically invited as a new student, please reach out to secsa@ksu.edu in order to be added.
