The Undergraduate Certificate in Computer Science Education is a collaborative online program between the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Upon completion of these courses, you will be equipped with the knowledge, skills and pedagogical strategies to effectively teach computer science in a K-12 setting.
This 12-credit hour certificate explores the pedagogy and best practices of online teaching and learning, and the necessary tools for designing, implementing, and teaching effective courses in virtual PK-12 schools.
This 12-credit hour certificate program is open to students that plan to coach at the high school or community level after graduation, the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) has accepted the K-State College of Education Sports Performance Coaching Certificate as a substitute or waiver of the American Coaching Effectiveness Program (ACEP).
A Provisional Kansas License may allow a licensed teacher to teach in an endorsement area while completing the requirements for full licensure.
