Graduate Education Scholarships and Financial Assistance for Teachers and Educators
The K-State College of Education offers several graduate education scholarships for both aspiring teachers and veteran educators, as well as other financial assistance options — and we can connect you with opportunities for educator and teacher scholarships that are available outside of the university.
Spotlight: Kansas Teacher Service Scholarship
The Kansas Teacher Service Scholarship from the Kansas Board of Regents supports the need for licensed and fully endorsed teachers in hard-to-fill disciplines and underserved geographic areas in the State of Kansas.
K-State Education Graduate Scholarships and Aid
Applications for K-State College of Education graduate scholarships are due October 1 each year.
Academic Advising Program Scholarship

- Charlie L. Nutt Academic Advising Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements

- Must be a graduate student enrolled in a minimum of three credit hours in the Academic Advising Program in the K-State College of Education.
- Must have completed one semester with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Must demonstrate financial need.
Adult Learning and Leadership Program Scholarships

- W. and Dorothy Lee Memorial Scholarship in Adult and Occupational Education

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be admitted to the Adult Learning and Leadership graduate degree program.
- Must be enrolled in at least one graduate level course in the semester the scholarship is awarded.
- Must be in good academic standing according to the K-State Graduate School criteria.
- Must demonstrate financial need.
Counselor Education Program Scholarships and Financial Assistance

- Francis and Phyllis Sanders Scholarship in School Counseling

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be an Ed.S. graduate student enrolled in the school counseling program in the K-State College of Education.
- The Riegel Family Scholarship in School Counseling also requires a letter of recommendation from a current graduate faculty member and resume to be submitted with application.
Curriculum and Instruction Program (Reading Emphasis) Financial Assistance

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, you must be a Master's or Doctoral graduate student enrolled in one of the following programs:
- Curriculum and Instruction Master’s Degree with a Reading/Language Arts Concentration.
- Curriculum and Instruction Master’s Degree with a Reading Specialist Concentration.
- Doctoral candidate in Curriculum and Instruction seeking a Reading Specialist Endorsement.

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a graduate student enrolled in the Social Justice Education graduate certificate program in the College of Education at Kansas State University.
- Must be a graduate student who has completed the first course (EDACE 816) and be enrolled in the second course (EDACE 817).

Scholarship Program for K-State Math Students
K-State Math Teacher Scholarship Program
- This program focuses on juniors, seniors and graduate students in mathematics at K-State interested in becoming math teachers.
Highlighted External Scholarship and Aid Opportunities
AFCEA Educational Foundation STEM Teacher Scholarships
- Competitive based scholarships of $2,500 each to students actively pursuing a graduate degree or credential/licensure for the purpose of teaching STEM (science, technology, engineering or math) subjects at a U.S. school in grades K-12.
Kansas Board of Regents Opportunity: Kansas Teacher Service Scholarship
